After all the Pot
Beginning in 1993, Cambodia's modern era begins with the restoration of the monarchy and the country actually being democratic for real. The politics in the country were corrupt some time, but so has it been for about every other country. There has also been some smaller internal conflicts, but those have been solved by the United Nations for some time now. The Khmer Rouge is still around today, but is a lot smaller and barely has any real political power. The country is one of the least developed, probably having something to do with it's geography and past, with 2 million of it's residents living in poverty. It is not the best country, but definitely not the worst.
